perc trax slips out its first cheeky white label in over two years, pulling together two secret weapons from perc�s sets this year. first off perc trax newcomer tymon rips into perc�s own �hyperlink� giving it a shot of adrenalin which has been eating festivals alive all summer.
on the b-side ansome returns to perc trax for the first time since in infamous british steel release twisting manni dee�s �london isn�t england� into a grinding mass of kick drums and percussion, layering ewa justka�s vocal over one of his rawest productions to date.

as always, the return of ruede hagelstein is inevitable and with each return he ups the ante tenfold showcasing his ever growing prowess behind the studio door. it seems as if, with each ruede ep, the amount of elements utilized shrinks while at the same time the sound grows in power and dominance and that could not be better exemplified than here. consisting of two originals and a remix from the one and only martin buttrich, the ep is a gross display of well thought out, mature dance floor jewels. opening the short player is hagelsteins �dematerialize feat. justin evans where a sinister yet soothing vocal sets the tone for the entire track, laying the groundwork for a gorgeous bass drum and shimmers of distant percussion carry us into celestial spaces. �forward vision is up next and follows suit by relying on a brooding minimal groove to drive the shimmers of glistening atmospherics and sparkling sonics optimal for dizzy and delirious club moments. last but certainly not least we turn to the legend who is martin buttrich to twist the original �dematerialize feat. justin evan into a more straightforward composition with his signature stylings opening the doors of accessibility to a wider demographic of disc jockeys resulting in a track that stretches the playability to a wide range of disc jockeys

helsinki�s we jazz records launches a new series of live recordings, the -we jazz live plates-, offering a closer look into the label�s live activities. the first installment of the series is a recording from berlin captured in october 2017. the six-tracker features black motor, bowman trio and jaska lukkarinen trio offering two potent slices of raw live jazz each. all of the compositions herein are previously unreleased or new arrangements.

perhaps cpu�s deepest foray into techno, osaka-based artist yuri urano�s �autline� e.p. draws parallels with the machine-like incremental builds of sweet exorcist / richard h kirk. plenty of variation with minimal down-tempo through to fierce industrial techno. urano�s industrial sound is gaining a lot of attention in the japanese techno scene and this e.p. will only galvanise her reputation.

falk records will be releasing �spaces� from icelandic experimental producer aaiieenn this august. aaiieenn is the solo project of electronic musician hallmar gauti halldórsson. halldórsson first came to music though being a mover and shaker in iceland�s punk and hardcore scene where he was the �harsh noise guy� with local band distill the world. with aaiieenn however, halldórsson moved away from the guitars and screaming to a fully electronic world of experimental synth music and gorging on the mathematical possibilities and expanses of arpeggio/sequencer driven ambient music. �calab-yau� and �continuous property 1� drip shards of pure crystalline sound into deep crevasses as harmonic droplets ping of gleaming surfaces coated with spongiform bass. the light and effervescent �euclidean� evokes classic ambient works aphex twin, while �manifold� is more direct with a muscular and sturdy bassline. spaces closes with the fluttering and lush ambient sounds of �zariksi� that are carried into the skies by a pulsing and gliding techno beat.

digging deep into the chicago rave vaults to re-issue the debut ep from billy nightmare aka �mystic bill� torres. �reality check� consists of 4 tracks, recorded at mirage studios in chicago in 1996. two tracks on the a-side are dark thumpers and will haunt your head for days. side b has 2 versions of the same song, lighter and funkier in mood both show the diversity mystic bill is capable of producing. all songs have been remastered by george horn at fantasy studios. each ep is housed in a custom designed jacket by eloise leigh featuring a 90s photo of billy nightmare staring into tv static and includes a postcard with notes.

georgia-born, brooklyn-based sophia saze set up dusk & haze to release �genre-free� experimental music, exhibited in the label�s debut release entitled �solace� ep featuring four versatile cuts from sophia herself and twisted electro and techno remixes from umwelt and benjamin damage. the second release comes from the enigmatic sdx, a masked artist who�s fiercely championed left-of-centre dance music for decades. crunchy drums and a thumping bassline kick things off in �ms 04� before los angeles duo 138 provide an outstanding remix incorporating a cacophony of raw breaks. modulated flutters, warped blips and white noise create �ms 08�, leading into the organic drums and off-kilter arpeggios of �007� until new york�s sc- 164 reworks �007� delivering a pulsating sub and distorted vocal chops. sdx�s �nocturnal� drops on dusk & haze on 10th september 2018.

industrial metal visionary author & punisher delivers his sixth full-length recording and relapse debut beastland. drawing inspiration from his career as a mechanical engineer, tristan shone (the creator and sole artist behind author & punisher) forged a relationship with design, sound, and fabrication that ultimately yielded his hand-built �drone machines� which mapped the journey away from traditional instrumentation towards custom made -precision machinery.- a robotic experimentation in industrial metal, noise, doom and drone, author & punisher recalls nine inch nails channeling godflesh, traversing through dark, uncompromising, and often disturbing soundscapes with occasional detours into rich melodies and splinters of light. armed with newly built �drone machines� and a new label, beastland is author & punisher�s career-defining statement and a powerful listening experience that further blurs the line between man and machine. the vinyl release includes a download code.

the jamaican sonia pottinger was once called �the most important jamaican woman involved in music business�. dancing down orange street is a collection of some of her famous productions for different artists. the album captures the moment when rocksteady transformed into reggae by speeding up a little and moving towards a more jerky and less smooth musical palette. famous singers as delano stewart and ken boothe are present on the album with multiple tracks. the vocal trio the melodians (known for their hit �rivers of babylon�) provide a couple of beautifull songs. even after all those years (released for the first time in 1969) the compilation remains a treasure of showcasing some of the finest songs produced by sonia. sonia pottinger was married to music producer lyndon pottinger and started to record musicians in 1996. during the late 60�s she produced songs for joe white, the melodians and toots & the maytals.

the free fall, to dive head first into something, is scary for most people. for some it is the most exciting thing however and the only possible path anyways. florian is one of those driven artists who never sounds the same, his signature tone is the free fall into new soundscapes, new ways of using his analog electronic instruments and carving out the essence for the dancing individual.

k.a.c.z.m.a.r.e.k�, from the title to the sounds, is intended to be a more personal project for paul ritch � indelibly closer to the confluences of sounds that he hears embodying the spirit of kaczmarek. he drives the mind�s eye deep into the inner-ear with the album�s spacious opening tracks, only to leave your head bobbing with the extraterrestrial rhythms that emerge as the main body of the album. moody and foreboding, loaded with the scattered, staccato and broken beats, more ovular than linear in composition and ranging from vaporous-ambience to hyperventilating grooves, the nine tracks on this album defy categorisation. the �k.a.c.z.m.a.r.e.k� album will give the listener a deep well to return to. the vinyl release will be a fittingly rare issue � only 100 numbered copies are going out, while digital releases will run parallel. keeping with the dark and cryptic theme of the first releases russian artist, sasha sime, is back for his third kczmrk cover design

we are proud to present the first ever vinyl issue of jon krocker�s debut album �monolog� originally released on cassette in 1983. the 12 instrumental tracks are stark and minimal, at times anxious but overall space orientated and flexible. all songs are remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. each copy includes an 8-page newsprint zine featuring ephemera, press clippings, photos and liner notes by jon.

heat in two belgian flavors! check out the zaïrian electronic dance floor banger �nakombe nga� by les choc stars. comes with the dope, largely unheard belgium new beat version on the flip from the teknokrat s. both tracks were originally released in 1989 and this is the first time they appear together on 12-. reissue co-curated with renowned record fiend john gomez. the music on this winning double-sider was written by tony baron and gery françois, two belgian producers that were involved in several musical projects on the new beat scene in the 1980s. they worked under many aliases and recorded the teknokrat�s haunting �what did she say?� at the famous studio madeleine in brussels in 1989. prompted by jean martin from espera records, baron adapted the music into a further two songs to be released that year, virginity�s melancholic �the key�, and the surprising but ear catching collaboration with the label�s soukous stars, ben nyamabos les choc stars du zaire. it is still a mystery how the seeds were planted for the one-off pairing that culminated in the electronic soukous bomb �nakombe nga�. what is certain is that it is set to light up dancefloors worldwide.

originally released as a limited run cassette on low jacks editons gravats label in 2017, we now get an official vinyl pressing via l.i.e.s. krikor kouchian serves this killer soundtrack to the documentary arabie saoudite: les liaisons dangerousness where the french tv program focuses on the saudi royal familys support of wahhabism and the wests appeasement of saudi foreign policy, kouchian underlines and accentuates the content with a brooding blend of mirage-like electronics and minimalist drum machine geometries. a deviation from his previous works and he moves into appropriately darker synth territory with this one.

the raptures luke jenner ventures firmly into the dance floor, this time in full force, on glittering jewel, the brooklyn-based producers debut ep under his meditation tunnel guise. red axes come through with an unclassifiable, stripped-down reinterpretation of fire fly, the perfect pair to deconstruct and re-contextualize the original material.

the flamboyant and off-kilter title track from rones latest album, mirapolis is one of the last solo tracks that the producer composed in the spring of 2017: its one of the rare tracks on the album for which i thought about the live performance. while putting the final touches to it in the studio, i imagined myself at festivals via memories of previous tours. i wanted to record a festive track, which completely stands by its funfair vibe. with this new four-track ep (including three remixes), combined with a new video by aurélie castex, rone extends the carnival of electronic cultures of his latest musical citadel to the dancefloor � and our screens. johannes brecht, shadow craftsman of the hamburg label diyanamics studios, offers a refined reading throbbing with cerebral pulsations. appropriating the main theme in a subtle way, coated with multiple harmonic layers, his textures alternate white noise with organic basses that builds up to a delightfully classical cello outro. german-based figurehead of the south american scene, comeme label boss and founding member of the late closer music project, matias aguayo, has never ceased throughout his career to set off little revolutions on the planet of demanding dancefloors. playful and wild, aguayo sweeps in with a ritornello of chiptune sounds and orchestral arrangements, washing it over with a huge wave of analog synthesizers that destroys everything in its path. french techno scene boss laurent garnier embraces the original piece in all its meticulousness and its psychedelic lifeblood. a hypnotic and mischievous loop infiltrates itself without warning into the reptilian cells of the listeners brain.

new glasgow electro and techno label tremors presents our first vinyl release - aftershocks volume 1, a collection of remixes of tracks from our bandcamp releases. the a1 comes from electro legend dexter, a man who needs no introduction, remixing old boy s tracer. next up is james shinra (analogical force) one of our favourite contemporary electro artists, remixing arctor memory gene. on the b-side we have patrick walker (forward strategy group) remixing arctor s selfish lover into a slamming acid techno banger. rounding it off is relatively unknown hungarian producer david harleydson who has been self-releasing highly impressive electro albums through bandcamp. he has applied his own unique style in a remix of arctor the gulf.

(2x12 inch gatefold lp+cd) kinobe scored one of the biggest chill-out club hits of the noughties, the deathless slip into something more comfortable. known from dancefloors, club backrooms, bars, radio spins, cafe del mar compilations and tv spots the world over - most famously the femme fatale kronenbourg beer advert - slip established the duo at the forefront of a scene that still includes groove armada, air, royksopp and zero 7.

koova returns to brokntoys for a second ep after his empty spaces. conducere presents the producer showcasing his personal take on the genre, with 4 tracks of tense, melodic electro. one of the founders behind the london modular alliance, he has released sought after eps on cpu, ac and abstract forms. the ep is backed up by a remix by max ravitz aka patricia who takes the originals into eerie, ghostly territory.

as summer sets into fall, we deliver an ep that functions like one of those lights-on hand-clappers you get when the djs been asked to kill the music at the end of a long, sweaty night but for the season. its a last-ditch effort to keep the sun shining and the temperature high, a final bid to keep the days starting early and ending late. we know the inevitable is around the corner, but for a moment more we can pretend its not.

rob belleville is a producer from the netherlands. his music can be found in the same space as producers such as arne weinberg, microworld, sean deason and drivetrain. he is know for moving between ambient electronica and atmospheric techno sounds, always warm and well produced. this release is no different, as here we have two very special tracks with the same integrity as anything rob has written in the past. on the a side we ve got implacable force which features a driving techno foundation and washy synths, interwoven for perfect headspace. the second track in is sungazing, which takes you into a more lazy groove with swirling, warm pads and more good drum programming. the b side features rise n shine and sands of time, both blurring the line between deep house and techno, with a fine balance between the melodic textures and tech house percussion. if you like atmospheric, melodic textures and quality music in general, this one is for you.
